Mark Silverwood

Mark Silverwood is President of Silverwood Associates, Inc., Silverwood Homes, Inc., and Silverwood Management, Inc.  and Managing Director of Silverwood Investments, LLC.

Mr. Silverwood has over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry.  He has developed large-scale master planned communities, for-sale and multifamily rental communities and has a background in strategic real estate analysis for nationally recognized public and private institutions.  The breadth of his experience ranges from general contracting to large-scale appraisals and market evaluation for the likes of the RTC and FDIC.

Since founding Silverwood Associates in 1993, Mr. Silverwood has been responsible for the acquisition, renovation, ownership, and management of apartment properties throughout Northern Virginia.  The company also has developed rental properties in Virginia, North Carolina, and West Virginia.

Silverwood Homes was established in 2003 to manage the construction and marketing of market-rate condominium and town home projects and has overseen the successful completion and sale of over $100 Million in luxury condominium homes in the Washington D.C. Metro area.

Mr. Silverwood serves on the Virginia Housing Development Authority NOVA Advisory Board and the Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization. In addition, he is on the Advisory Committee of the Washington D.C. ULI and a member of NAHB Affordable Housing Group. He resides with his family in Reston, Virginia.
